Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing the CURT four-pole trailer wiring harness on a 2019 Honda Accord. If you're adding the hitch to any vehicle, it might be worth picking up four pole trailer wiring harness. That way if you ever plan on pulling a trailer, you know if you have to move some stuff or some activities come your way where you need to hook up to it, this is gonna keep you safe and legal by giving you running lights, turn signals and brake lights to the taillights on the trailer. Now this one is fairly easy to get installed because it uses factory style plugs that tap into your taillights by simply just snapping into place. Now this is module protected as well as fuse protected. Hey guys, it's Jake here with Etrailer, today we have a 2016 Honda Odyssey, and we're gonna be taking a look at and I'm gonna show you how to install the CURT four-pole wiring harness to tow trailers. This four-pole wiring harness is a great accessory to add to your Honda Odyssey. If you've already got a hitch receiver, I'd highly recommend adding a four-pole wiring harness, just in the odd chance that you may have to tow a trailer or if you're like the owner of this vehicle, they're wanting to pull a small camper. We're actually gonna be pairing this with our ETBC7L kit. That is a seven-pole kit with just the power wire run so that they can use the CURT Echo, plug it in, and they can tow their camper with it. Adding a four-pole wiring harness is going to essentially unleash your hitch, You're not only gonna be stuck with cargo carriers or bike racks in your hitch, you're gonna be able to pull trailers with it, so that you can safely get the lighting functions from your Honda Odyssey to the trailer to let others know what your intentions are on the road. more

Adding four-pole trailer wiring to your vehicle means that you're gonna be able to tow a trailer by giving the light sequence from the vehicle, from your four-pole, to the trailer, giving you running lights, turn signals and brake lights, letting the people behind you know what you're intending to do. So this is required if you do plan on pulling a trailer. And this one is actually pretty easy to do. There should be a factory plug that you're gonna plug into and then just pop a fuse into a fuse holder. Hey guys, Kevin at etrailer. It's family showing you how to install the Tekonsha T-One Connector four pole wiring harness here on our 2022 Honda Accord. A four pole wiring harness is one of the main components whenever you're trying to tow a trailer, a bike rack that has lights on it or a cargo carrier that's gonna have lights on it because that's what's going to allow you to transfer your running lights, your turn signals and your brake lights from your vehicle over to the trailer, so you can remain street legal. This particular wiring harness is powered by a ModuLite and what that means is that it's going to properly transfer the separate wiring signals that you have on your vehicle to the combined wiring that's gonna be on your trailer. And that basically means that it's gonna just transfer that separate braking and turning signals into one wire and properly do that for the trailer so that you remain legal and so that everybody can understand exactly what you're trying to do when you're going down the road. Typically, most four pole wiring harnesses are going to pull power from your tail lights. more

Hopkins 4-Pole Flat Plug-In Simple Vehicle Wiring Installation - 2013 Honda Odyssey- Video
Hi there, Honda owners. Today on your 2013 Honda Odyssey we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install Hopkins 4 Pole Flat Trailer Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness. It is designed to stay inside the vehicle when not in use, just down here in your compartment area. But when you are ready to use it, it will drape down over the back here, just make sure that you're avoiding the striker here at the middle, and when you shut your liftgate, it'll pinch it between the leather stripping, which won't cause any damage to it 'cause it'll hold it in place and allow you to be able to plug in your wiring. This is kind of the best case scenarios, keeping it inside the vehicle because it'll protect it from rust and corrosion when not in use. A lot of harnesses are routed to the outside and when they hang down here onto the bottom, even though they have a dust cap or something to protect 'em from rust and corrosion, it does still occur. more

So here we have our trailer wiring installed and the great part is you can't actually see it and you don't have to see it until you're ready to tow, the reason being is our plug is actually going to live inside the vehicle. Not only is that gonna keep it nice and clean and away from the elements, but it's also gonna just be out of sight and not be down here. It gives it a little bit cleaner look. So if you don't tow all the time, this is a great option because all you have to do when you wanna hook up to your trailer is simply drape this over the weatherstripping here, close your hatch, and hook up to your trailer. Now having a 4-pole trailer wiring on your vehicle is gonna be great when you do hook up to your trailer, because it'll give the light signals, not only for the running lights, but your left turn, your right turn, as well as your brake signal. more

And that's the glory of this wiring kit 'cause it's all tucked back in here, and whenever you need to hook up to a trailer, you will have your harness stored back here, and you can pull it out, drape this down, and you'll be ready to tow. When you drape it over, it's perfectly safe to put it on the weatherstripping and have it close on there, you're just gonna wanna make sure it's not on the actual latch itself as that could pinch and damage the wires. more

So here's what our trailer wiring harness looks like installed. As you can see here, the trailer connector is actually gonna be draped out our rear hatch so we can easily plug in our trailer like so. And then when we're not using it, we can actually easily just store this back inside in the vehicle. Now, that's actually ideal for those of you who are not towing every day, because it's gonna make sure that we keep the trailer connector nice and protected, we don't have to worry about any water getting in there, corroding our circuits, and causing any lighting issues. So when we're not using it, we can just coil it up here, and just store it in one of our spare storage compartments, just like so. more

But more often than not, the smaller to lighter duty trailers are definitely gonna have that 4-pole trailer connector. So chances are, that's what you're gonna need, especially if your trailer doesn't have brakes. more

Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2020 Honda Odyssey- Video
Connor: Hey everyone, Connor here today at etrailer.com. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness here for our 2020 Honda Odyssey. Now our wiring harness here in its most basic form is going to provide us with the lighting we need, required for our trailers. Now the lighting required with our four-pole here is going to be the basic lighting functions such as our taillights, our left and right stop and turn signal circuits. That's all we're going to need for some of our smaller trailers without brakes, which is why this four-pole trailer connector here is going to be an excellent option. So as you can see here, we have our trailer connector inside the vehicle, which is where it's going to reside until we're using it.Now there's a couple of different ways to install this. more

Now, probably the best thing about this wiring is the fact that it's going to be completely hidden and out of the elements whenever you're not using it. However, it's going to be really easy to get to whenever you do need to plug in. So this wiring harness is going to plug directly into factory plug behind the driver's side rear panel. It's going to have a converter box. The converter box is going to protect the factory wiring from any backfeed if there's a wiring issue with the trailer or anything else you may have this hooked up to. Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2019 Honda HR-V- Video
Hi there Honda owners. Today on your 2019 Honda HRV we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install Tekonsha's T1 Vehicle Wiring Harness. This is what our wiring harness looks like when it's installed. You can't really even tell that it's there because it's hidden underneath our spare tire compartment cover. And when you're ready to use it, you simply drape it over the back and it will pinch in between our weatherstripping holding it in place, you just want to make sure you avoid the striker here in the middle. Pinching it in the weatherstripping isn't going to cause any damage to it, it's actually just going to hold it in place for us and we can choose the amount of length that we need then hook up to our trailer.Our four pole flat connector here is going to provide us with all the necessary lighting that we'll need on our trailer, which includes our left turn signal, right turn signal, tail lamps and brake lamps, which will keep us DOD compliant in all States. more

The Curt T-connector vehicle wiring harness is going to allow us to pull small trailers, as well as use any lights we may have on our cargo carrier. Now, it's going to provide the basic functions, such as the stop and turn signals, as well as the running light circuits. Now, the four pole connector that this gives us is going to be an industry standard, and it's going to be the most common one you're going to need for some of the smaller trailers.Now as you can see now, we have our wiring harness routed out the hatch here and secured to the safety chain loops on our trailer hitch. Our Tekonsha T-One here is going to offer a seven-way trailer connector.Now the seven-way trailer connector is going to be great for some of the medium to larger duty trailers, which have electric brakes that we need to activate. This connector here is going to provide us with all the basic trailer lighting circuits.It's also going to charge us. It's also going to allow us to use a battery on the trailer, because it has a battery charge line circuit, as well as is mentioned, the electric brake circuit. However, keep in mind, we still need an electric brake controller, in order to activate the trailer's brakes, which we sell here at each trailer.The Tekonsha seven-way is going to be a super easy install. more
